Lakeisha Starks

Lakeisha Dawn Starks is a passionate advocate for recovery, community empowerment, and second chances, guided by a deep and unwavering faith in God. She serves as an Outreach Coordinator for Oxford House, Inc., where she works across Tennessee to expand access to safe, supportive housing for individuals recovering from substance use disorder. As a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS), Lakeisha brings both professional training and lived experience to her work, walking alongside others as they rediscover hope, healing, and purpose. She believes recovery is not only possible, but a reflection of God’s grace and restoration in action.
Her journey is one of true transformation. Since being released from prison, Lakeisha has remained committed to personal growth, faith, and service - building a life rooted in purpose and impact. She has earned her Associate’s degree and is currently pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance, demonstrating her dedication to long-term success and stewardship.
She also serves as a Collegiate Recovery Specialist, focusing on creating pathways for young adults to pursue both higher education and a life of sobriety. Deeply rooted in her personal recovery, Lakeisha actively gives back through service. She serves as the General Service Representative (GSR) for her home group, the Chair of the Treatment Committee at the district level, and a member of the Finance Committee at the state area level. Through these roles, she remains committed to carrying the message of hope, strengthening recovery systems, and ensuring resources reach those who need them most.
As Treasurer on the Board of Directors for The WOMAN Initiative, she helps lead efforts that empower women to rediscover their value, find their voice, and walk confidently in their God-given identity through education, creative expression, and authentic connection.
Lakeisha is also the founder of Starks Logistics Group, LLC, where she is building a business grounded in integrity, stewardship, and vision.
